The Prefecture of Rethymno is a highly gifted because of natural beauty. In the city centre there are a multitude of traditional monuments reminiscent of its cultural heritage.
In most settlements around the Rethymno the roads leads the visitor into villages with architectural interest as the village of Maroulas, Chromonastiri, the the the Moyntros, the Pikris Amnatos, argyroupoli, Spili, Margarites, Anogia etc. The roads that hang from Psiloritis Mountain, pass the canyons as the Kourtaliotiko and Kotsifou and end up to the beautiful beaches of the South. Unique routes, with particular views and resting points; the traditional cafés in every village, causing the cyclist to discover.
Rethymno- Arkadi- Rethymno
Starting from Rethymno and along the old Highway, passing Platanias and Adele and you are directed to Agia Triada. This road goes to Harkia and Kavousi through a spectacular rocky landscape. The road on the left leads to the historic “Arkadi Monastery” through a forest. Then to Amnatos and Kirianna, villages with Venetian architecture. You come back in Rethymno and first you see the villages of Loutra, Pigi and Adele.

Rethymno- Argiroupoli- Rethymno
Starting from the New highway to the village of Argiroupolis the Beach Road reaches up to the bridge of Petres. From there begins the long sandy beach of Episkopi. A small road leads to the village of Karoti, Episkopi and Argyroupoli. Argyroupoli is built on the site of the ancient Lappas. It is a settlement with impressive Venetian monuments, Byzantine churches and unique natural environment.
